After completing my Bachelor’s in Psychology, I worked in counseling for 6 years in the Portland, Oregon area. 3 years counseling youth at Catholic Community Services, and 3 years as a methadone counselor at CODA. I decided to go back to school and received my Masters in Business Administration and moved back to Casper in 2006 to work in the family business, Inter-Mountain Pipe and Threading Co., where I am now President.

For my 10th birthday, I received a miniature schnauzer, and since then dogs have been a part of my life. When the opportunity to open Urban Tails with Cece presented itself, we could not pass it up. I am the Co-Founder and CFO of Urban Tails, and I look forward to seeing the aims and vision Cece and I share… to bring quality care to our clients and guests, and look forward to building lasting community partnerships. Together, Cece and I fill our home with love and laughter, with my daughter Quincy, Eleanor, our chocolate lab/Weimaraner, Parker, our bernedoodle, and Ripley, our mixed breed.

Fun fact about Dana: I am not shy!

As an animal lover, the decision to start Urban Tails with Dana in our hometown was easy. Small business is in my blood, and I had the pleasure of opening several in Casper. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from the University of Wyoming, which has aided me in my various career paths. After 20 years in the food and beverage industry, including being a cast member at Disney World, and working for two local non-profits, it only made sense to open a business and facility that our community could grow with.

As the co-founder and CEO of Urban Tails, I aim to bring quality care to our clients and guests and look forward to building lasting community partnerships. I am honored to help raise Dana’s daughter, Quincy, who loves music, art, and making us laugh. Eleanor, our chocolate lab/Weimaraner,  Parker, our bernadoodle, and Ripley, our mixed breed, make sure it is never boring in our home and they give the best love!

I began a lifetime commitment to animal care in my early 20s. After being invited to volunteer at a rural animal shelter in East Tennessee, I knew animal care was my career of choice. I served as Director for that shelter for four years where I helped over 1,500 dogs and cats find their new homes. While there, I found interest in Shelter Medicine and worked closely with a partnering animal hospital to train as a veterinary technician. During my first years at the shelter, I also trained as a boarding and daycare handler and learned the importance of dog language and behavior. In the summer of 2017, I moved back to my hometown of Casper and managed a boarding and daycare facility for almost five years. I welcomed the opportunity to bring a new approach to professional animal care to our community and, in October 2022, partnered with Cece and Dana. When I am not at work, I am hiking with my yellow lab, Duck, or sneaking cuddles with Moose, my tabby cat, and Noche, his emotional support kitten. On the weekends, you can find me at the local music shows and performances, usually in the front row.
